Replacing Your Spartan Card

If your Spartan Card is lost, stolen, or damaged, you may come to the ID Office during our business hours to obtain your replacement Spartan Card. If you wish to keep the same picture on the replacement card, you do not need to bring additional documentation. If you wish to take a new picture for your replacement Spartan Card, a government issued photo ID is required (passport, US driver's license, and US State ID).

If you have Spartan Cash or meals on your card, we recommend you deactivate your Spartan Card at the Spartan Cash website. If you find your Spartan Card and no longer need a replacement, you can reactivate your card on the Spartan Cash website.

There is a $10 charge for the replacement Spartan Card. We can accept Spartan cash or credit card payments for a replacement Spartan card.

If you find your old Spartan Card after obtaining a replacement Spartan Card, you may return the old card to the ID Office or shred it. Please note, you may not use the old card after obtaining your replacement card. Only the most recent card will be active and usable.

If your Spartan Card photo is over 6 years old, you can come to the ID Office for a free Spartan Card replacement. Identity Services encourages you to have an up-to-date picture on your ID card and therefore will not charge for these replacements.

If you find someone else’s Spartan Card, please return it to our office in the International Center Room at 427 N Shaw Lane.
